Description: Risetime is seeking a SW Configuration/Deployment Engineer for a contract consulting opportunity. Reporting to the Deployment Manager, the engineer will be part of a team of engineers providing middleware administration support, managing application releases, build and deployment scripts, and support the deployment of software applications, updates, configurations and content for the eCommerce division of our client.
Qualifications:
The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill sets, and abilities desired in order to be successful in this role.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent degree/work experience
2+ years of Middleware administration experience (JBOSS, Apache tomcat) and/or code deployment and release management (Clear case, Subversion, ANT, Maven, CruiseControl etc)
Strong understanding of the design and requirement of a multi tiered architecture:
- Web servers (Apache, IBM HTTP Server, etc.)
- Application servers (JBOSS, Tomcat, etc.)
- Database Servers (DB2, MySQL, etc.)
Past or current experience with Open source products (JBOSS, Apache, MySQL, Subversion, Maven, CruiseControl, etc. also a plus…)
Essential Functions:
- Consults with internal customers to deliver middleware and application services for projects.
- Coordinates and manages middleware changes to the environment.
- Maintains and promotes vendor relations for products, solutions and services
- Contributes in the development and delivery of overall solutions for eCommerce division.
