Third Annual “Chicagoland Toys for Tots” Toy Drive

Chicago, IL – January 10, 2011 – Risetime is happy to announce the success of our third annual Risetime toy drive benefiting Chicagoland Toys for Tots. Thanks to the generous support of all the Risetime team members, we donated just over seventy toys to this important local charity. Risetime employees made a concerted effort to purchase toys in the age groups that are traditionally underserved- infants and young teens. A wide variety of toys were given, from developmental infant toys, footballs and baseball sets, watches for teens, to board games for the whole family.

 

About Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots was founded in 1947 and is run by the United States Marines Corps Reserve. Only certified non-profit organizations can request toys from Toys for Tots, who then distributes toys and financial donations to the requesting organizations. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
